EU & FTC Start Investigation on Apple’s Development Policy’s

In June, the FTC declared to start investigating Apple’s stance on disallowing development with third party tools. Now, the EU decided to team up with the Federal Trade Commission.

Apple declared that banning tools like Adobe’s Flash is to increase the stability of the platform, but this move doesn’t fit the EU’s digital agenda which says that by 2020, (mobile) devices should have some sort of interoperability. The investigation is expected to last four to six months.
