August 2nd, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Research & Stats | No Comments »

According to Canalys, Nokia is still leading Phone sales on a global level. Canalys includes not only smartphone, but also featurephone sales over all markets.

Nokia’s sales grew 41% year-on-year in Q2 2010 as Canalys counted 23.8 million sales. BlackBerry also rose 41% to 11.2 million sales while Apple grew 61% to ‘just’ 8.2 million devices. The biggest growth however is with Android. Apparently, the platform grew with 886%. This is mainly thanks to the massive sales in China and other parts of Asia.
