HTC seems to have problems supplying operators in Europe with enough Nexus One phones to fulfill local demand. The company is already switching from Samsung’s AMOLED screens to Sony’s SLCD’s.
Vodafone was the first operator to sell the Nexus One in Holland last month and sold out in just under two weeks. The company announced that it doesn’t expect any new Nexus One phones before August.
Meanwhile competitor KPN announced that it expect the first Nexus One phones to arrive in October. According to KPN, shortage of components is leading to empty shelves all over Europe.
