While Androlib recently estimated that the 100.000th Android app would be uploaded later this month, Google is a bit more careful with their numbers. They say they currently have 70.000 apps in the market.
Google also announced that the company has served over 1 billion downloads through Android Market. The main market for Google remains the US.
