AppventCalendar.com’s Failure to Launch

December 2nd, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Marketing Strategies, Platforms: iOS | No Comments »

Blacksmithgames Blacksmith Games has launched Appvent Calendar.com. On the site, consumers are intended to find a free game from the App Store. We said ‘Intended’ didn’t we..?

On the first of December, the website promoted the line drawing game 33rd Division from Craneballs Studios. Yet, with the first game, consumers seemed to be lost on what the timezone of the site is because the first ones still got a price tag on their expected gift.

The second day (today) there isn’t even a game at all which leads to disappointed consumers. As one writes, ‘Big hype and weak performance. Try again next year‘.
