It seems iTunes has become a premium spot for what is either a slick way to climb to the top of the charts or plain and simple theft of credits. Whatever it is, some developers benefit from hacked iTunes accounts
The story surfaced at The Next Web where the editors started to investigate some apps and books that climbed the charts really fast while there was no quality related reason for it. One of those developers is Thuat Nguyen. He managed to push 40 apps in the books category on the US store’s top 50 while they are not that interesting. Google also didn’t bring back any proof that this content has ever been popular and in the comments of his apps, consumers complaint that their account was used to purchase many of these apps.
