According to MCV, Sony is rumored to announce the PSP2 during the E3 event of 2010. Though Sony denies the rumor, it is obvious they have to either launch something new and good, or accept their defeat.
Some weeks ago, we already reported that Nintendo has plans to show the 3DS during the E3, their answer to the popularity of the iPhone which has a full 3D screen that doesn’t require goggles.
At this point, sales of PSP-3000 and PSPgo consoles have pretty much flat lined and games are not selling as fast as the company had anticipated. The PSP has been on the market for six years and during that time, Nintendo released the DSlite, DSi and DSiXL while Apple has put 3 generations of iPhones and iPod’s on the market.
