Google has acquired BumpTop, the developer behind the 3D desktop with the same name. Analysts expect Google to have acquired the company for their Android operating system.
Though companies like LG have been showing off their 3D like interfaces for mobile phones over the past few years, Google is expected not to introduce the technology to Android based phones. Google is more likely to include BumpTop into Android tablets.
“Today, we have a big announcement to make: we’re excited to announce that we’ve been acquired by Google! This means that BumpTop (for both Windows and Mac) will no longer be available for sale. Additionally, no updates to the products are planned.”
Congratulations
