In the battle for Flash, Microsoft has announced that it understands Apple’s move away from Flash and toward HTML 5.0 for mobile devices. IE will fully support HTML 5.0, but there is no word on WinMo 7 or Silverlight.
Dean Hachamovitch, GM for the Internet Explorer browser responded to say that Flash indeed created reliability, security and performance problems which are easy to overcome with the HTML 5 standard. He doesn’t fully write off Flash as there are heaps of Flash based content on the net, but the end of Flash does seem to come in sight.
Congratulations
