Though Connect2Media bought Rayfusion back in 2008, the company has started to rebrand the unit only now. The unit will now operate under the name of Connect2Media Middle East.
This move follows closely on the acquisition of Sennari, another demographically interesting company for Connect2Media. Together with the rebranding of Rayfusion, C2M also makes several changes to the management of the unit. One of those changes is that Orly Zelazny will be functioning as the new managing director.
“Rayfusion has long been the dominant player in the market for mobile games in Israel, and our task is now not only to strengthen our hold on the Israeli market, but also build our position in Turkey and Greece. As we move forward our new branding will help us in one of our major roles within the group, which is to source exciting new content, games and applications, from developers, around the world,” said Orly. “The market is changing rapidly and we see many opportunities for our partners to monetise their content via our unrivalled global distribution network.”
Connect2Media CEO, Eric Hobson, commented, “This is an exciting time for our business and, with the rebranding and new management at our Middle East operation, plus our new base in the US, Connect2Media is expanding rapidly. Our operations in the Middle East have specialist skills, and technology, to provide distribution services for major global publishers, and take an agnostic independent view of content. With quality and strong brands being the key determinants of success.”
