According to research from Smaato, Symbian is still the leading platform in their advertising network (Based on CTR). Their conclusion is in line with a report from Canalys over the third quarter of 2009.
As you can see in the graph, Symbian is followed by both iPhone and Windows Mobile, but the gap is still pretty large. Android, Palm and BlackBerry are still overtaken by feature phones. The reason for BlackBerry being behind on the rest could be the business character of the devices.
In their report, they also showed an anonymous comparison of the ad network market. They list themselves on the second place with a 75% fill rate (2% below their competitor). The average global fill rates of the networks is 35%. For the US market, the fill rate is higher; 55%.
