The guys over at Bolt Creative have celebrated the 2 millionth paid download of PocketGod. According to the publisher they are just too late to make the 2010 Guinness World Records Gamers Edition with the news.
Around the 2009 festive season, Bolt Creative topped up to 53K downloads a day and 100K units in a week. All in all, Bolt creative shows that a big brand or huge marketing campaigns are not needed to become successful on a platform.
“We couldn’t be happier with the turnout we’ve seen at the island,” said Bolt CEO Dave Castelnuovo. “The community has been absolutely incredible embracing this game. From the thousands of YouTube videos to the homemade Halloween costumes to the valuable user feedback we’ve received, we can’t thank our community enough for our success.”
Congratulations
