This is the first analytics report from Getjar, detailing out platform and device popularity. With the report, we hope to assist developers in selecting the right devices and platforms for their products.
The most popular platform is still J2me. J2me is thirteen times more popular then the second in line, Symbian. Symbian is nearly four times bigger than Windows Mobile.
Getjar was most popular in Indonesia, followed by India and the US. The most popular phones where the Nokia 5130, N70 and 3310 Classic. Yes, Nokia still dominates and interestingly enough, there’s a lot of old Nokia’s scoring really well in the results. Below we have a breakdown of the top 10 devices.
