The February edition of Amob‘s salescharts reached our mailbox this morning, showing a top 10 which is slowly getting dominated by branded mobile games, though non-branded games still show excellent results.
1. Jewel Miner
2. Age of Empires II Deluxe
3. Eragon: Dragon Rider
4. 3D Rally Evolution
5. Roboros 2
6. Company of Heroes
7. Rambo on Fire
8. Tomb Raider Video Slot
9. Crash Racing
10. 1943 Sky War
“Showing the virtues of a good puzzle game, in February we saw ‘Jewel Miner’ – a terrific un-branded title – claim the Number One position,’ ” says Paul Meyers, Acme Mobile’s CEO. “Six of the remaining Top Ten games were branded titles though, further illustrating their persistence.
“Mobile versions of platform and PC-based games also performed well, with ‘Age of Empires II Deluxe’ and ‘Company of Heroes’ continuing to sell briskly and with Crash Bandicoot making his first appearance on the list in ‘Crash Racing’,” continued Meyers. “Movie-related titles continue to show strongly, with ‘Eragon: Dragon Rider’ and the ageless ‘Rambo on Fire’ being joined this month by cross-over hit ‘Tomb Raider Video Slots’. Another unbranded surprise newcomer, ‘Roboros 2’ makes its first appearance this month.”
