As most of you know, Flash Player 10.1 is set to replace Flash Lite on mobile phones to ease Flash development. At the MWC, Adobe announced more details about some of the 10.1 features.
Adobe has added support for multi-touch screens. This will be difficult to test on development PC’s, but it will allow developers more creative freedom during development. The player will also be able to identify gestures and it allows hardware support for h.264-video.
The player has also received some updates to improve streaming media support and it will allow developers to use the rtmfp-p2p-protocol. Support for GPS, Compass and Accelerometer support will be depending on the hardware of the specific handset.
Adobe has also announced a strategic partnership with the LiMo foundation. It will implement Flash Player 10.1 in their Linux OS. Later this year, the Android version of Air for Mobile will also be integrated with LiMo. LiMo is mostly used for Vodafone devices.
Congratulations
