Neomades Launches The NeoMAD Porting Platform

April 12th, 2007 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Development Platforms, Platforms: J2me | No Comments »

Neomades
Neomades has announced the official release of their NeoMAD porting
platforms for mobile games and applications. The platform is said to
port to about 600 US and EU mobile phones running MIDP 1, MIDP 2 and
DoJa.

The NeoMAD system was developed in-house as Neomades needed such a platform back in the time where they created mobile applications themselves. The biggest advantage according to the studio is working from source code whereas most other porting platforms work from byte code. Working from source code would ease and speed up the development.

NeoMad allows developers to;
– provide tools for development teams organization,
– merge all simulation tools from target mobile platforms providers,
– improve development productivity,
– provide automatic production process tools for runtimes,
– offer solutions for real tests on the mobiles for Europe and the US.

With a client base that holds THQ Wireless, Atari, Vivendi and more, Neomades seems to be well integrated in the market already.
