Vivendi Games Mobile has announced a contest on MySpace that will let
the players earn a role as character in one of their newest student
related mobile game called Surviving high School ’07.
The rules are simple. Vivendi has set up a MySpace profile for the mobile game and when MySpace members add the profile to their top 8 friends list, they will qualify for the grand prize. From the qualified members, five will be randomly chosen and will be able to insert their avatar into the mobile game. To make it even more fun, Vivendi will also provide a MotoKRZR K1 to all winners.
“This creative contest involves some of the most notable names in interactive entertainment and communication with Motorola, MySpace, a variety of wireless providers and Vivendi Games Mobile all coming together to select the next mobile gaming stars,” said Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile. “We wanted to take customization and community involvement to the next level and create one of the most unique opportunities imaginable for mobile gamers and MySpace users. Imagine the bragging rights the five lucky winners of this innovative promotion will have when they come to life as a character in Surviving High School ’07.”
We wonder how long it will take before many other studios will follow this simple but effective way of marketing their mobile games to the world.
