Gameloft has announced to have licensed the “Live Free or Die Hard”
brand from 20th Century FOX. Previously, Die Hard was licensed by
MobileScope (now In-Fusio) and developed by Dynamite Mobile Ltd.
Gameloft will now take charge to translate the fourth Die Hard movie to the mobile phone. In this episode, Die Hard hero John McClane (played by Bruce Willis) has to save the U.S. from a terrorist attack on the computer infrastructure. The game is set to launch June 27th, the release date of the movie.
"The Die Hard series has been extremely successful and we are pleased to be working with 20 Century Fox to extend the brand experience to mobile phones," said Gonzague de Vallois, vice president, Gameloft. "The fans of the Die Hard films are literally- ‘die-hard,’ and we are eager to deliver a game that brings the action, intrigue and humor of the movie, to gamers and fans alike."
