Our favourite chess game returns to make it’s mobile debut. Not only for itself, but also as the first big European release of IG Fun, the EU branch of IndiaGames formed last month.
Battle Chess was one of the greatest chess games on early PC‘s. Followed by sequels and other themes, Battle Chess was loved because of the action taking place on the board. Whenever one piece is beating another one off, a funny animated battle between the pieces takes place. Though the animations where great in that time, the chess engine itself was a bit disappointing as it was easy to beat.
Nevertheless, IG Fun will now release a mobile version. Because of the re-writing of the code, chances are the engine has undergone improvements as well and will now provide a challenge.
“I am really excited that Battle Chess is our first launch to both the media and our customers in the UK. We are really pleased to be supporting such a reputable chess event. This game is one of a number of UK launches IG Fun will be announcing over the coming months. There are not many chess games available for mobile phones and ‘Battle Chess’ is just what the customers’ looking for.” said Gulshan David, IG Fun’s Europe key account manager.
Congratulations
