Though most mobile content related to The Simpsons (you know, the yellow family) is exclusive to Jamba (which is part of News Corp, owners of Fox Entertainment), EA Mobile did get hold of the movie rights to bring out a mobile game.
The game, which is called The Simpsons: Minutes to Meltdown, is already being rolled out in the US and Europe in order to have it on the market together with the movie. In the game, the player has to race in order to prevent a nuclear meltdown at the powerplant. They play Homer, but Bart, Apu, Mr. Burns and others can be found around Springfield as well.
“Just as we did with The Simpsons movie, we waited until we had the right product for fans before creating a mobile game. The fantastic thing about The Simpsons: Minutes to Meltdown is that, in addition to capturing the energy and humor of the series, you can play it anywhere, anytime.” said Denise Sirkot, executive vice president of Gracie Films.
