Apple Opens iPhone (a bit)

October 19th, 2007 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Analysis & Editorial | No Comments »

AppleFinally the iPhone (and so, iPod Touch) will officially open up to more developers according to Steve Jobs yesterday.

The biggest problem for Apple in releasing the SDK is to avoid malware on the OS and so, to find a good way of regulating that is and isn’t allowed on the OS. As so, Apple is expected to set up a Symbian Signed kind of programme where signing is needed to get on the device. The SDK is expected to be released in February 2008. After release, one big question remains, will iTunes be the only games store?
