Though the mobile gaming portfolios of many big developers and publishers are stuffed with word puzzle games, David Dewhurst has spent his time creating a mobile game that actually teaches player the Finnish language.
The mobile game is written in Flash Lite 2.0 and made available to download for free to anyone that wishes to play the game (or help him complete the list of tested devices). The game combines vocabulary tests with skiing, the number one sports in Finland.
“I created this mobile game as an alternative to often quite dry text books or making flash cards on bits of paper. Its perfect for learning a bit of Finnish on the move. It combines a cross country skiing game with a multiple choice language quiz. It makes learning Finnish fun!” said David Dewhurst to MobileGamesBlog.com.
