Juniper: $ 16 Billion for Mobile Games in 2012

Juniperresearch Juniper Research released a new report called “Mobiles: Playing The Game” which states the mobile games market will be worth $ 10 billion by 2009 due to a big Asian push in mobile gaming revenues and $ 16 billion will be reached by 2012.

The biggest growth in the mobile games market will happen in China. That market will grow from $ 2.7 billion in 2007 to $ 5.7 billion in 2012 and so give a big push. In-Game advertising will also give a big push as it will grow from $ 90 million to $ 1.2 billion. Also, the report shows that 460 million consumers will be downloading mobile games by 2009. By mid 2007 there are 200 million 3G subs which will increase to 800 million by 2010 and 1.4 billion around 2012. The free whitepaper is available from this link.
