UTV Software Communications has acquired a 60% share in Indian gaming developer and publisher IndiaGames.
IndiaGames will be integrated into UTV which now is working in the fields of movies, television content, broadcasting and interactive (gaming and animation). UTV already holds a controlling stake in UK based gaming company Ignition which opens up synergies for UTV as IndiaGames holds a dominant position in the Indian market.
“We have been working very closely and successfully with UTV on a number of initiatives over the last few months and look forward to maximising the benefits arising from the various synergies from our association,” said Vishal Gondal, Founder and CEO, Indiagames.
