Crazy Kart 2 follows (as expected) the release of the Crazy Kart mobile game which was successful for the developer on Symbian and Windows Mobile platforms.
The Youtube preview shows smooth graphics and a great touch-screen based control system. The current iPhone code is working on a software accelerated 3D engine at 60FPS, but the develop hopes to update the game with hardware acceleration as soon as possible. With the launch of the App Store still a few months away, there seems to be time enough. Features like tilt control and landscape oriented gaming are under considerations.
Other features are wifi multiplayer support, 6 characters to play, 3 vehicle classes and downloadable content like new vehicles and tracks.
