March 5th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: iOS | No Comments »

Apple After successfully removing a large part of their adult games and apps, Apple is now setting its sights on Wi-Fi scanning apps and games. Last night, many where booted off the App Store.

Amongst the removed apps are WiFi-Where, WiFiFoFum, WifiTrak and yFy Network Finder. All these apps make use of a private framework to collect Wi-Fi data (according to the message from Apple).  Apps that show Wi-Fi locations based on GPS data are still online.
