Finally, developers can start creating real innovative content for
Nokia’s Widsets service. Before, developers where limited to RSS
readers, but now the sky seems the limit.
This means Mobile Gaming is set to enter the many widsets installed out there already. Of course, creating a business model other then ad-funded content is a bit difficult in the world of Widsets as on general, all content is free of charge. Widsets does however offer interesting new ways to promote your mobile games or gaming service. You could for example make available the leaderboards of your mobile games as a widset so gamers can check their status within their Widsets app.
We are looking forward to the first clever developer to launch a great mobile game marketing effort on Widsets.
