With a steep increase of competition since last week, FreeAppADay.com has started to launch a new service to differentiate itself from the competition. Part of it is the launch of ICS Financing.
ICS Financing will be a service provider aimed at developers that want to monetize their games in the freemium/in-app purchasing market. The exact details are to be announced, but it is clear Freemium games will be promoted through the portal. The big question will however be if consumers accept getting something for free that is not really free in the end.
Other big news from the portal is that it will drop their placement fee from May onward. This will save developers $1,200 when placed. To avoid a landrush, the developer will increase the quality control.
