It is no secret that the iPhone is shaking up the mobile games market. Suddenly small developers get a chance to star on the App Store and competitors of Apple start launching their rival stores in the hopes to mimic the success.
On SlideToPlay, Trip Hawkins discusses the pros and cons of Apples wonder child. As Trip explains, the iPhone didn’t only chance the mobile games market, but also the consumer started to care on where they get their subscription. As Trip describes “Consumers didn’t realize they wanted an innovative, powerful handset and great content until Apple showed them they did,”.
