Mpowerplayer announced the launch of Mplayit.com, a new Web portal for consumers interested in finding out more about mobile games. Mplayit features free mobile game demos with the ability to learn about games and publishers, read reviews, purchase games and to add and share the Mplayit widget anywhere online.
Mplayit’s “widgetized” game player replicates a mobile phone interface, allowing users to try mobile games in the same way they would play the game’s full version on their handset. To play the game, users can use the keypad on the virtual device, their keyboard, or mouse controls where enabled. From there, Mplayit enables users to purchase the game or find out more information via direct links to content providers and publisher partners.
“With the rapid adoption of App Stores fueling interest in mobile gaming. Mplayit provides consumers a place to discover, play and share the games they love, and then send them to their phones, ” said Michael Powers, CEO of Mpowerplayer.
“Our goal is to partner with mobile game publishers, carriers and mobile gaming Web sites to increase awareness for the industry,” stated Joe Ariganello, VP of business development. “We're striving to be an educational direct-to-consumer channel to embrace and extend what's currently out there.”
Congratulations

I would love to see this App store released for the Motorola Krave. I’ve been a fan of the Krave ever since I started working with Motorola. My favorite feature is the 2 megapixel camera, but you can check out a full list of features online at Motorola.com/krave. Its my top pick right now for a new cell phone.
