According to a survey from Crows Science, nearly 40% of the current BlackBerry owners is considering a switch to iPhone when their subscription allows them to.
A third of those are also considering a switch to Android as well. When looking at the iPhone and Android users, 90% of them plan to stay with their OS in future device purchases. When offered a direct switch to a Nexus One, 32% of BlackBerry owners said yes compared to 9% on iPhone. When looking at the rest of the smartphone OS’, 60% is willing to make the jump.
The awareness of the Nexus One in the market is very good. 91% of the iPhone owners knows about the phone from Google against 75% at BlackBerry and 73% at other OS’.
"These results show that the restlessness of Blackberry users with their current brand hasn't just been driven by the allure of iPhone," said John Martin, CEO of Crowd Science. "Rather, Blackberry as a brand just isn't garnering the loyalty seen with other mobile operating systems."
Congratulations
