The mGBL platform is targeted at creating mobile games with a high educational value. Though the platform has 11 partners from all over the globe and EU funding, it has turned Open Source in the hope to evolve into the lives of consumers world-wide.

The mGBL platform allows teachers to create simple mobile games that connect to their classes. The platform currently supports quiz games, 2D adventure games and pervasive games (SMS like).

The platform has been made available under the GPL licence and is offered on SourceForge.
