January 18th, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: iOS | No Comments »

Apple
The rise of the App Store still seems far from over. According to the company, the App Store has served over 500 million downloads for iPhone and iPod Touch consumers world-wide.

Just to recap (Thanks Volkert for summing it up), it took Apple 3 months to generate the first 100 million downloads. Five weeks after, the company was at 300 million and now they are at 500 million. As Volker calculates, this means 5.7 million downloads a day of 40 million a week.
