SonyEricsson has launched a new content initiative called Entertainment Unlimited. This new content proposition should enable the company to compare with Nokia's Ovi services and Apple's App Store.
Entertainment Unlimited leans on three core pilars. The first is to bring together the best entertainment content like music, photography and gaming. The second is to improve the content experience by making it easy to combine the phone with home entertainment centres. Third is fusing entertainment and communication. This means that SonyEricsson will lean more on a social networking experience.
One of the first Entertainment Unlimited devices is expected to be the W995 videophone.
