It was a tight finish as they needed to compete with global broadcaster BSkyB, but last night Player X has managed to win the prestigious Media Magnate Awards.
Next to BSkyB, Player X (as the only mobile company in the finals) also had to compete with other companies like Bloomsbury and Chime Communications.
The award ceremony was presented by Davina McCall and attended by Royalty. The awards, sponsored by investment company Canaccord Adams, recognize excellence across many sectors. Player X’s nomination was an endorsement of the company's increasing influence on mobile media.
"For us to be on a shortlist of only six companies as Company of the Year is a testament to all the team's efforts. While it's a pity we didn't win, losing out to one of the world's biggest broadcasters is some solace," said Tony Pearce, Player X CEO.
Congratulations!
