The Symbian foundation is said to be working on a new App Store foundation. Indeed, a foundation as they don’t seem to be interested in having a monopoly like Google and Microsoft.
With their App Store infrastructure, every company that is interested can build it’s own App Store and utilize Symbian’s library of certified mobile games and applications. They do have to close an agreement with every developer though to get actual access to the files.
If the Symbian Foundation will also launch an App Store based on it’s library is unknown for now.
Congratulations
