For the upcoming Webby Awards (the 13th already), mobile games developer and publisher Hands-On managed to receive 2 nominations with World Poker Tour and Guitar Hero.
Both World Poker Tour: Texas Hold’Em 2 and Guitar Hero III: Backstage Pass are competing for the ‘Best Mobile Game’ award. Being nominated twice for the same prize is something very special in the history of the awards as only a few companies received this honour.
"Nominees like Hands-On Mobile are setting the standard for innovation and creativity on the Internet," said David-Michel Davies, executive director of the Webby Awards. "It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the nearly 10,000 entries we received this year."
“The WPT and Guitar Hero franchises have always been fan favourites and have already received numerous accolades and awards,” said David McCaman, Head of Marketing, Hands-On Mobile. “We are thrilled to be nominated for a Webby award for these two titles of which we are very proud.”
Being nominated, also means that Hands-On Mobile in eligible for a peoples voice award. Consumers can vote at the dedicated website.
