Microsoft has chosen to delay the release of Windows Mobile 6.5. 6.5 is meant to be bridging the gap between Windows Mobile 6.5 and Windows Mobile 7.
Microsoft has given no reason for the delay, but probably it also means a delay for Windows Mobile 7 that will be released together with the main OS. Bill Gates informed the press during an investors call about the new quarterly figures. He said the first 6.5 phones can be expected in the fourth quarter of this year. The original date for Windows Mobile was April 2010.
