Last time I had seen Tecmo do something with mobile was at the E3 in 2005. As most people on the event said, their quality was behind the standards at that time. Now the company takes on the iPhone and the first screens show that they have learned a lot in the mean time.
The company’s launching title is Rio Blackjack. Not the first title that pops to mind when you hear the company’s name (we hoped for Dead or Alive). The company did make a smart move by stuffing the game with anime graphics. Consumers like those a lot, but the number of games supporting them is lacking.
The company has two more titles in the pipeline, but it’s unclear what they will be.
