Good news for Midway today as Warner Bros showed interest in the company. It is offering $ 33 million to acquire various brands, studios and other assets.
Though this looks like a lifesafer to Midway, the bankruptcy court still has to approve the bid from Warner Bros. That is expected to happen after a public auction of the company.
If the acquisition will happen, Warner Bros will get the Mortal Kombat brand as well as the Midway studio’s in Chicago and Seattle. The studio’s in Newcastle and San Diego are not part of the deal, just like the TNA Wrestling series.
