Five independent iPhone developers have started up a collective mobile games label called App Treasures. With the label, they hope to strengthen their position toward big publishers moving in.
Through the label, the developers hope to steer consumers to download more games from the pool of developers behind it. The pool currently exists of The Blimp Pilots, Imangi Studios, Snappy Touch, Streaming Colour Studios and Veiled Games.
For those interested, the label is open to other indie developers who like to team up, but there is a slight selection process in place to make sure quality is right.
“This is our way of combining resources to become a bigger player” said Keith Shepherd, CEO of Imangi Studios, “while retaining our independence and without any of the drawbacks and strings attached that come from working with a publisher.”
Congratulations
